Project Documentation

DFD provide their customers with a refit experience like no other. Not only is all the planning, part sourcing, and contracting scheduling, taken cared of for you. It’s also complied and neatly documented for future reference as well. During the refit project, our clients receive interim reports with tasks completed, budget updates, and images of the work progression. Once the project is complete we provide our clients with a booklet of the entire refit project. The booklet is a collection of all the interim reports, photo documentation of work progress, images of drafts and/or CAD drawings, and lastly any class or Flag State Certificates that may have been obtained. 

Photo Documentation

The entire refit project gets photographed from start to finish. This allows for proof of job completion and is an excellent resource for backward referencing. Photos of the refit progress are included in the weekly interim reports. Refit images are also included in the final booklet received upon completion… Talk about how this makes Captains/Engineers more organized when they go to present updates to their bosses. 

Scheduled Task Reports

We use specialized software to help keep all our contractors on schedule and on task. The software also allows up to show our customers exactly what tasks have been completed in their refit projects… Talk about how you actually provide TRUE project management. You have the large task sheets and software that other smaller companies that claim they provide project management just don’t have. 

Class & Flag Compliance Certificates

Some refit projects require certification from a third party. Not only do we ensure that all our work is Class and Flag State compliant, we also provide a copy of the certificates in our refit booklet upon completion. We have solid working relations with ABS, Lloyds, and RINA to provide these certificates in a timely manner. Talk about how the customer benefits from your years of working relationships with these companies. 

All Drafts Created During Refit Project

All CAD drawings also get included in final booklet. Excellent resource for the captain or engineer. Allows for easy reference if an issue were to arise or if they decided to go else where. We also keep copies in house incase they need to make additional mods or need us to resend them in case of an emergency.
